Costal Voyages of Norway

‘A cruise with a difference to create the memories of a lifetime….’

Sailing with Hurtigruten on the Original Coastal Voyage tours is a unique experience during which you will discover the natural and unspoiled beauty of the Norwegian Coastline.  Calling at over 30 ports, many not accessible to other ships, they take you closer to the heart of Norway and everyday life in some of the remotest parts of the world.

Friday 20th April 2012 &
Monday 10th September 2012
Direct flights to Bergen from London Stansted

Hurtigruten has been operating this daily Classic Round Voyage up the remote coast of Norway for over 100 years.   Sailing across the Arctic Circle in a 12 day voyage, you will travel at an average speed of 15 knots.  It’s the oldest and the best way to experience the Norwegian Fjords, taking you to parts that other ships simply cannot reach.  You will travel on the MS Nordnorge, a ship decorated in maritime style with Art Deco influences.  The voyage operates throughout the year but we have selected spring and autumn departures to reflect the ever changing colours of this wonderful coastline.  NB Warm clothing and suitable footwear is advisable on these departures.

Your Hurtigruten Cruise Ship
The Hurtigruten fleet consists of 12 ships of various sizes and age.  Each has its own individual unpretentious style and character, complementing the informal and relaxed atmosphere that you will find on board. It’s not about glitz and glamour, dressing up, or colourful nightly entertainment on these ships.  It’s about relaxing days, sublime cuisine (set menu in the evening , buffet style breakfast and lunch), and the warm company of like minded people all searching for the unique adventure that the Coastal Voyage provides.  All ships have a café serving snacks 24 hours a day.  On board currency is Norwegian Krone.

‘Hurtigruten is unique in the world.  With Hurtigruten you are really a part of Norway, part of a Norwegian tradition.  The crew is Norwegian, the food and experience is Norwegian.  Hurtigruten is uniquely identified with the country it operates in’.
Jonathan B. Tourtellot, National Geographic Society
